Selank/Semax Nasal Spray is a compounded intranasal solution of Selank and Semax. This dual-peptide formulation leverages Selank’s unique anxiolytic and neuroimmune modulating activities (a tuftsin analog) with Semax’s neurotrophic and cognitive-enhancing effects (an ACTH4–10 fragment). Both are designed for non-invasive, rapid delivery to the central nervous system, for investigational protocols targeting mood, stress, cognition, and post-stroke neuroprotection.

Selank modulates GABAergic neurotransmission as a positive allosteric modulator of GABA-A receptors, shifting neurotransmission and gene expression involved in stress, cognitive, and immune systems.
Semax is being studied for effects on neuroplasticity and neurotransmitter pathway genes, BDNF, neuroprotection, and networks related to learning and executive function, including recovery and cognition.

Both peptides are typically well tolerated. Adverse effects are mild and transient: nasal dryness, irritation, burning, headache, or dizziness. No sedation, withdrawal, dependence, or serious toxicity is documented; rare allergic events should prompt discontinuation.

Contraindicated in those with peptide or excipient hypersensitivity. Do not use it in pregnancy, lactation, childhood, or with untreated severe psychiatric illness absent specialist supervision. Monitor when used with other CNS-active medications. No hepatic/renal adjustment data exists; use caution in these populations.
